Rang De Basanti
"Rang De Basanti" is a new movie having a wonderful starcast and a different story line - so it seems to me. MSN has come out with the movie website as a series of blogs for each of the character and viewers can submit their comments and get to know each character in person. I left a comment in Karan's page which is here.
I was just thinking.... I dont really think actors get to blog much. Reason one: They are damn busy. Reason two: If they are married, put in the family as an extra schedule. Reason three: The only time they probably get for themselves is the time they get to sleep. I would really be surprised if they are net freaks. No matter, they do a wonderful job on the entertaining front. Lets just hope "Rang De Basanti' is one. This is where you can meet all of them, so they say.
I was thinking this as well. If this movie had Shah Rukh Khan in it and is released in Ethiopia, it will go blasters...say platinum or diamond or whatever. They know SRK more than any others. I did see a few Aamir Khan posters around but they dont appreciate him as much as they do SRK. No offence meant, Mr. Khan but its kinda true. They know only SRK coz only his films make it big there - you know, the no-sense, lots-of-music, all-time-dance and the patriotic ones. They just adore hindi movies. More on that in here. Check the entry called "Hindi Movie Addiction".
It is also interesting that movie makes choose blogging as a new way to relate to viewers and fans. Bet every single netizen in India will crave to write to their favourite actors. I sure would, if there are favourites. None for me as such so forget about that. I like each actor for his/her particular role. I think that the way they should be recognised is through their character in each movie they make. They act, after all, of only one fictional personality which doesn't get carried over to the next movie, except for sequels, ofcourse. Its a virtual world, movies are but many dont seem to realise that. As for the Ethiopians, they think all Indian women are as pretty as Preity.
